But we are so beat up from our one dimensional economy no place to go but up from here..

I admire your optimism, but I fear Florida will remain a lost cause.

It is one if the 2 states, along with Ohio, that don't even need to bother with having an election in 2012.

Those 2 states, like 2004, will be in the GOP column come 2012.

The control mechanisms that were employed to steal the 2004 election were not only not addressed, when the Dems had House and Senate majorities, they have surely been refined with the continued GOP executive and state legislature controls.

That coupled with the raft of new "Jim Crow" voting restrictions that are in vogue in GOP controlled states across the nation should give pause to any who don't think an absolute moron like Perry can't win in 2012.

With the kicker of course being the SCOTUS gift to fascist control in the form of unlimited corporate donations authorized under Citizens United.

What comes to mind is this little ditty attributed to Josef Stalin:

"You know, comrades," says Stalin, "that I think in regard to this: I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this — who will count the votes, and how."
