There was little hype when Andrew came. Was only a hurricane for a couple days before it hit. As I watched it come in I thought to myself, this is a 150 mph hurricane and there doesn't seem to be any panic. It was even supposed to turn north and hit Palm Beach county and not Dade.

Your memory sucks Jim. Andrew was originally supposed to hit the Keys. In fact many people brought their boats up to Miami to avoid Andrew. Of course there were less days of "hype" because it wasn't a hurricane as long. But there was plenty of "hype" as it approached the Florida coast. good "hype" I might add.

What do you suggest? We don't publicize hurricanes? So your sensitivity to "hype" is not offended?
