The Bible doesn't record Paul's death ... Clement of Rome revealed that he was martyred in Rome ... during the persecution of Nero - the first time Christians were killed en masse in public spectacles.

The fact that Paul's death isn't recorded is an important indicator of the antiquity of Luke's Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles. Acts ends with Paul under house arrest in Rome ... if Luke had been around to write after the Neronian persecution, he would certainly have written about that. But he didn't ... almost certainly because he was another victim of Nero.

The NT doesn't record the martyrdom of James, Peter, or Paul ... indicating it was written BEFORE those events happened.
