Yeah, I agree on all points. At least the guy's bond fund made money in 2008 where Brinker lost money in ALL his fixed income portfolios...

Sometimes you can get high quality load funds with special deals for large sums. I helped some people who got Bill Gross's Pimco load funds without the FE load... so they got the low expense shares and they did really, really well the past 12 years or so they were in the portfolios. The managers will often give up the FE load to get a huge pot of money say from a company that gives him a big group of 401K investors. Heck, I think Fidelity used to charge a hefty FE load for their Contra fund and I was in that without the load via HP from way back... one of the funds I kept....

This chart reminds me of Brinker's Gift horse at the top followed by multiple buys most of the way down... except in reverse!



Just like Brinker in reverse, Roubini called tops all the way up except for the last couple hundred points!
