It would be a more realistic figure if we could add up govt employees and govt. contractors. I believe there has been a huge growth in the number of contractors.

Responding to your critique of the sample Jorj on the other thread. I got that the sample you objected to was skewed. Just thought I ask you the size of yours--a couple a hundred people is not bad for one person.

Considering that your numbers above include Homeland Security - its obvious the government ex HS has already been cut. Will republicans cut military? Nope that will go up. Will they cut SS? Well that is the one government program that has been in the black. Will they raise taxes to do it? ........Sooooo, Where do you see the savings being made to balance the budget? BE SPECIFIC!
