In a nation of 300 million people effective communication costs money, but that is not the same as equating money with speech.

We can agree that

You enjoy freedom of speech
I enjoy freedom of speech

Congress cannot regulate our individual speech.

But anyone who is not an idiot can see that our freedom of speech is worthless because we lack the resources, individually, to make ourselves heard.

So let's say we agree to pool our resources to address an issue that concerns us both, and create "People In Favor Of Legalizing Cheap Prostitutes," or "PIFOLCP."

You position is that Congress DOES have the power to tell PIFOLCP to STFU, my position, and the position of the majority in Citizens, is that Congress DOES NOT have the power to tell PIFOLCP to STFU.
