a billion here and a billion there and pretty soon we are talking real money.

And i agree, they could also start some nice venture capital funds to stimulate new innovative businesses.

Hell, I'm looking for funding right now.....and I need a lot less than a billion.

Again, I'm addressing the Warren Buffet types who think billionaires are not paying their fair share in taxes. They can resolve this by voluntarily sending some big checks to the gov.

AND if they give their entire wealth, then what will happen the following year...and all the years after that.....

not only that, but then the billions are gone forever down the government black hole. that money will never again be available to start businesses. i'd rather everyone kept their money and it then gets used productively.

Who would buy their assets as they would have to sell most of them to raise the cash to pay their progressive wealth tax? Do you really think that huge sale of assets would create a rip roaring economy?
