I think we need to reconsider corporations as "people". If an individual had no concern whatsoever but his own profit, we'd call him a sociopath and expect him to end up in prison, but we have no concern whatever with a corporation acting that way. Corporations are potentially dangerous immortal organisms we've created, ones that provide great benefits while amassing great wealth and power. Our government should shield us from their excesses, not participate in them.
