upstate NY youtube videos of flooding in real time Thing is upstate NY is not used that kind of flooding. The place is riddled with streams and rivers that usually are pretty well equipped to move large quantities of water to the sea without flooding. However, this was the perfect storm..........10" of rain during August before Irene and then 10" more from Irene. What got me is how blasé the people were.........torrents of water are rushing just feet away from them. Where that water is needed is in TX............the state is bone dry and will soak up the water like a sponge. Hopefully, the current TS in the Gulf will move into TX soon.
