Are you targeting certain percentage cash position? I had about 20% cash position, but put big chuck of it in NLY thinking it will hold up better than other stocks in case there is another significant drop (earns 14% div so I won't feel so bad if market goes up with QE3 or whatever else and can sell to buy other stocks if they get much cheaper). Maybe I am being foolish since NLY may not hold up if there is a Euro debt crisis leading to banking problems. With the wild swings in the market, it's hard to just buy and hold. I wish I had a more well defined algorithm that I can trust.
