"Obama defeat in 2012 would be a disaster for America"

Maybe that's what it will take to get the Dems in control in '16, providing we still can vote.
I'll tell you what; the route he is pursing is a disaster, too; just slower.

Depends...

IMHO if the Republicans lost the House again, and the majority in the Senate is improved, things could be okay. But the hill would have to play hardball against a GOP President further stacking extremist ACTIVISTS (how ironic and Orwellian the game has been) into lifetime appointments on the Supreme Court.

I think if the election were today, Obama would wax any of the leading Republican candidates. But with enough money they could drive his base away from voting, or voting for a liberal third party shill.

I fear more for Obama's personal safety from wackos with high power weapons than from being voted out. He will have to get out and campaign, I hear vitriolic paranoia and smearing against him like I have never heard before in my lifetime.

<<Progressives and Liberals, when you come down to it are not all that smart. They are almost as stupid as the stupid Republicans.>>

So who are the smart ones? I like to learn. If there is are a smarter group point me in their direction. Please.

I'll learn from them.

You do realize fully 51% of all scientists call themselves liberals and 80% lean democratic (PEW poll).

You probably feel about liberals, like I feel about moderates: "people who are low information voters who cannot tell the difference between a Democrat and a Republican".
