Not having cable I missed it. I guess expectations of what could have happened make it seem a bit of a non-event but a lot of dams in danger now and Vermont is a huge mess. Overall we did dodge something that could have been far worse.

Vermont got wrecked. Same with upstate NY. But even as late as last nite in NJ, the mayor of Patterson announced a mandatory evacuation of that city as swollen rivers overran their banks and flooded the city with 18' of water. Irene wasn't a major hurricane in terms of wind intensity but she made up for it in size and rainfall.

But agree with pundits & need for drama to drive things. No-drama Obama was an oddity to them amusing for just awhile. The chatter about Hillary is funny, if sad, so desperate to stir up drama.

I think Obama is getting even more blasé with all the crap than he has in the past. The criticisms have gotten so silly its hard to keep a straight face.
