One would assume at the time the Casamilia facility had the proper permits to operate? I'm really starting to hate the organized "environmental movement."

The Casmalia facility was a commercial hazardous waste treatment and disposal facility which "accepted large volumes of hazardous substances from 1973 to 1989".

Uh, it was a hazardous waste disposal site. Of course Intel and others sent hazardous waste there.
