Using the same standard, the number of truly innocent in any cultural group is a distinct minority possibly limited to infants. "Hundreds per year are suspected in Britain alone. " Ehhh doubtful ... and "suspected," eegads man how high off the ground are you floating? People play pretty loose with statistics when bashing those nasty Muslims. People around here are scrambling to report ever time there is rape in the world or murders or any heinous act, then we add the word honor to killings and we get that bad taste in our mouths. And if it is in America, it gets front page attention. No doubt such things are horrific and condemnable but it is the world after all not paradise, and American culture is not without our own regrettable conditions ... rampant bigotry for example. It likely has more to do with underlying conditions than your bigoted attribution... Murders by country (2002)– Nation Master- QATAR = 1 per year Assaults by country (2002)– Nation Master -USA = 2,238,480 per year ...QATAR 327 per year But then consider the fact that most places in the world don't have it as nice as we do in America, where half the world is ignorant, starving, and where there are 250 million orphans... 50% of the orphans who make it to adulthood are bound to enter a life of crime. That sort of thing tends to reek havoc on the statistics. Thank God we aren't living in remote regions of Africa or on the streets of Kabul or something. Still ... Approximately 87,000 of these were victims of completed rape." Murders by country – Nation Master - USA = 12,658 per year (2002) Most murders of women are by an intimate partner or family member. I suspect the murderers feel they have been dishonored by these women, what do you say ... sheesh
