I don't think it serves any purpose to depict opponents of over-regulation of not wanting ANY regulation. This is just your classic straw man, I think.

The issue involving shale gas drilling right now is proposed federal regulation. Drilling now is regulated by the states and none of those states allow pumping chemicals into their water tables.

Yours was an early 19th century comment and thought. I'm NOT saying ZERO regulation...but AM saying that we need some sensible people, perhaps out of government people, to go through each and every regulation this Federal Government has... What we have now is choking America.

Plus as an added bonus, there's your new WPA.....
