We have to start someplace do we not? We can't campaign for international enforcement of environmental preservation laws if we are not doing it ourselves. Isn't it the NON-COMPLIANCE and end running of laws designed to preserve the environment that are the greater threat. Sure in the short term everyone wants to make money--we're all dead in the long run is that attitude, but in the long run we as are dead as a species if we always take the short term view? No? Thats why government exists--- to balance out people's short term gratification needs against the longer term interest of the whole.
