Here's the point I want to make about the right and global warming science.

The vast majority of scientists (well over 80%, in fact I think its over 90%) think that the global warming data suggest a correlation between human activity (mainly the burning of fossil fuels) and rise in Earth's temperatures.

There are a small minority of scientists who argue that the data does yet establish a link (not being a scientist I'm not in position to judge the data myself).

In a rational world most people would say its more probable than not that the majority has the correct view assuming everyone is looking at the same data.

Yet the right insists that this cannot be. Yes, I know there is no conclusive proof either way--just suggestive evidence--, but why does the right insist that the overwhelming majority of scientists are probably wrong about the data?

I'll await your take on this, but my take on it is because if the majority is right it will force capital to deploy into non-money making activities and lead to more government regulation.
