First, I referenced the debt charts only to illustrate that your charts were misleading.

Second, I wasn't making an "excuse" for Obama, I was pointing out how complex the question was and how silly it was for you to write that only one number was the "real number" which showed, I suppose, blame for the debt.

Bush did get saddled with the tech bubble implosion and Clinton did benefit from the tech bubble and the end of the cold war with international trade exploding. Bush benefitted from the housing bubble. Obama has gotten hit with the housing bubble implosion. Those are facts which I never intended to use as "excuses" for Obama.

My only point was that your simplistic argument laying so much blame on the Obama administration for the accumulating debt was not your best intellectual moment. Ed
