I think you mean market tools but i hedge out of the market by being in the location i wish to live and with no debt.I can live free, Also some physical assets that can be reached without using the computer...local safety deposit box or more remote stash. In my trading accounts i like to lever thru warrants which gives me the upside with much less cash at risk . I hold some SBT.UN , PBU.UN & several Cdn oil & gas trusts for safety as a balance of value. I spend very little insuring my positions....friction costs just erode the whole pie.
