What I've observed lately, he's leading from behind looking to steal a few ideas from the republicans.

That's what he did on the debt ceiling negotiations, let the republicans get out in front and parroted some of their ideas to the media as his own.

I actually did mean it seriously.
That's called 'delegating'.

Most likely he is very happy, that he now got another 24 hours to work on it.

Let's see how he competes against the opening of the football season :)
