The implications of what is being said in the paper to which this is a reply are very significant. If Ogallala is the cause, it accounts for a lot, including the many many years when S Dakota was operating the largest gold mine in the world, Homestake...This mine is still closed, but it was one of the deepest mining operations ever.

The Ogallala hasnt been characterized as an impactor, precisely because its covered by up to 1,000 feet of water. And yet, there it is, the crater ring, clearly this revolution is not understood by most everyone else.

Impactor size & type, dictate Resources to be characterized later, & proximity matters. Nucleation is occurring across, upward and down simultaneously, as cavitation waves would dictate.

Remember from our discussion in brief about Kentland, that the velocity of the blast waves might extend outward at velocity, but its more than that, any model of the wave progressions must also include down direction. Reminder "Pay Attention: Data point The shock waves radiate from the impact point at high
velocities that may exceed 10 km/s, much greater than the
speed of sound in the target rocks. As they expand, they interact
with the original ground surface to set a large volume
of the target rock into motion,

Pay attention to the outer boundary of the disturbance at Kentland IN. (see reply graphics in post 510)

the shock waves are racing out beyond the boundary of the local disturbance limits, and could cover a distance of 350 KM in just 35 seconds.....

Hence, we've been students of Karst for many years, Karsts are systems studied in vacuum... as is...

Most details and work are about characterization of evolution within the system, not about the discreet systems formation which is first and formost about original removal. The great Aquifer, is not just a study of glacial infill, the aquifers origin, like Karst study, needs to be rethought from the beginning, discerning minds will outline how a crypto explosion laid it in.
