In response to my own question about reviews of Abe, I found four reviews where Abe gets VERY high marks, and one where the reviewer despised it. You love it or you hate it, I guess.

Frankly, I complain of it because it's really not my style of game. I never really was interested in this style of play. Puzzles I don't mind but I still don't buy too many Sierra games if you know what I mean. I think what is the most frustrating is after running through a gauntlet of timing and precision puzzles you can find yourself at a dead end. Just doesn't make things that much fun to me. I have taken a look at some of the game sites and there seems to be a 50-50 on the reviews. Some feel the way I do and some feel the way you do. I don't know exactly what I was expecting with Abe. The jousting with the Sligs and such seems right and more than enough. Many of the puzzles Abe could have done without.
