You can't keep destroying US jobs and letting cheap foreign goods in the country and expect our standard of living not to drop as it is now.

even if a particular set jobs are lost, overall in the economy, there will be a net gain. our standard of living will increase, not decrease. the people that lost jobs will move on. in a free market economy, there would be plenty of jobs for them, most of which would pay more than the jobs that were lost. the efficiency of our labor would keep increasing. jobs would naturally migrate to more productive, profitable areas of the economy. we as a nation would continue to grow wealthier. but of course, due to protectionism and other socialist policies, that's not happening, nor will it happen.
