The left wing uses facts and logic. The right wing uses myth and script. Evolution as fact, is not contested by many liberals, but most conservatives. Prove this statement with facts and logic. Scientists are liberals because they are trained to apply reason and facts and know evolution is fact. We agree that evolution is fact. And we probably agree on what we believe the mechanisms of evolution are. However, the mechanisms of evolution are NOT fact, they are theories. You say "Scientists are liberals". This is an all inclusive statement. If you used "most" or "majority", your statement would be factually correct, though it would be deceptive. You said yourself that 52% of scientists are liberals. That means that 48% of scientists are conservative. Since you are claiming to use facts and logic, what is the margin for error on your 52% number? If it is 2%, we are getting on the hairy edge of being pretty closely split down the middle, aren't we?
