I'm surprised crews from out west haven't shown up in droves to get you guys up and running. We were without power for 5 days from the last big wind storm here...........some were out for as long as 9-10 days. We would have had to go to a hotel if we hadn't bought a new generator weeks earlier.

Good Luck!

You guys need Ray Nagin to start screaming for all of you.....He started screaming at Bush and FEMA within 24 hours after Katrina hit....I'm really sorry to hear you and so many others all are without power! Did you have any flooding where you are? That is just the worst....I don't see how people ever recover from floods....always a huge chance of black mold coming in even if everything is cleaned up.... Take care!

gary kaminsky, who i believe lives on long island (i am not sure about this.), was on squawk box the other morning giving details of his hurricane irene power outage experience last week. he said there were various electrical crews there from ohio and some other states to fix transformers and electric lines. gary said the hold up was getting a local union electrical technician to oversee the crew do their work. gary said oversight consisted of the local union tech watching the out-of-town electrical crew work. gary watched the crew replace a transformer, and his power was back on. perhaps some union tech shortage is a problem where you are too(?).
