OK, so its about the money. It does seem to be liberals who talk about the money the nation spends on health care. I assume other nations spend less mostly because they ration care. They may fiddle with the statistics too. A government paying out all the money has an incentive to report statistics that show they're doing a good job. Kind of like how social security in the US has gone a few years w/o a cost of living adjustment ... the government measures the cost of living and coincidentally, they find they don't need to make an adjustment.

If you talked to a Brit PM, in private, and asked them if they could, would they want to go back to a market driven model for healthcare, I'd bet they'd say yes......

If you like the british system so much then why don't you support some of the things the brits did to control costs in their own country, here? Like national tort reform?........;.

OOPS, I think I just stepped on the third rail of liberalism.....
