Gravity was discovered in 1650.

Gravity is a force that exists in nature...........its essentially immutable until something very significant in nature changes it.....like the destruction of the earth. Recessions are mostly man made.......the causes of which can change significantly from one recession to the next and are hardly immutable..

It still works. Sometimes tried and true methods work best.

How can it work if many conditions now are not like they were in the 1930s?
