OK--I don't if, as matter of a fact, Wharf is a trained Scientist. His numerous posts on the subject of the the declining environment area may have temporarily suspended that area my critical thinking--such as it is.

I'd like to add that Wharf runs a thread almost exclusively devoted to environmental issues (The Exxon Free Environmental Thread) and is up on all the arguments pertaining thereto and the thread contains links to numerous governmental data banks on environmental subjects. So I would think he is at least as knowledgeable on environmental issues as anyone else posting here.
