As far as what Obama does in the joint session of congress, I hope he starts a fight. It's about time that we took the issues concerning this country and put them in the full light of day to find out what Americans really want. Obama has been too timid or too accomodating to take a tough stand requiring clear choices and this is the election that I hope he does because many of the positions your party advocates will, I believe, wither in the light. If I'm wrong and you prevail, then at least we'll know where this country stands. Ed

Well Ed, I fully agree with you. I hope Obama tells the truth about national situation - in all of its facets. Then I hope he tells people the truth about he wants to do about it. I trust you will admit that up until now truth and Obama have been complete strangers. Up until now our problems are simply the fault of greedy bankers and all we need to do is tax the top 2%. Do you believe any of that crap?

I want whomever the candidates are in 2012 to tell the truth so that their election is a mandate for their proposals. Another round of free lunch for all to be paid for by the top 2% is not telling the truth or an agenda for solution.

If the nation chooses a clearly defined leftist approach - then hey - that will be choice of the nation. The nation will deserve the results that follow - one way or an other.

Truth and a fight - I am all for it. A fight over free lunch - well - hasta luego America.

Bob

The problem is that most of the electorate is too dumb to figure this out--and that is what the Right is counting on and designing their campaign(s) around--so unless something changes I guess we're gona get the kind of government we deserve.

Wish I was wrong.
