Sorry, but it is a ridiculous example if one wants to make a point about Bob.his concerns were absolutely valid and correct. You have to report IRA contributions to the IRS so if you were audited and had to prove you had the earned income needed,you'd have to say so and so was paying me cash without submitting the proper documents or paying social security etc. The technical point that the money can be used for an IRA according to code becomes almost besides the point. If someone was bringing this up as a criticm of Bob I'd have to say it says more about the petty motives of one who would make a big deal of it to play gotcha with Bob than anything else and he constantly repeats he's not a tax lawyer and tells people to check with their tax person.
