No one bought 100 Jan 10 puts in MLIN on one print. There has been buyers and sellers of puts and calls. No direction can be predicted by the option activity as of late, yet that is not to say that in the past the option activity did not predicate substantial moves. The person that takes the other side of these trades is usually just the stupid market maker who hedges the trade right away, yet it is impossible to derive who initiated the trade by reading the newspaper or after the close volume.
