Oh my...that is really amazing! Do you know why? I know a few people on LI that have never even been in Manhattan. So what hope is there for poor kids of all races in inner city hoods and small towns to see more? Maybe the age of the internet and a million cable stations will spark their interest more than prior generations? I think this could be a good Oprah project....not kidding....imagine her seeding an org who organizes exchanges with kids from all over the country... Good point re: cable and internet. Especially the social networks like FB.... There is indeed always hope...aspects of the future can be predicted but then a seminal event happens and changes everything....we are long due for a positive one.
