When you run your country subject to the whims and demands of the market, you don't need no steenkin economic development policy. By definition. You do need the social safety net though as the market rejects non-producing members, and we still haven't got to the point where we let non-producers simply starve. But hopefully we can get there in the next few years. We can discuss it either at the home, or under the bridge.
