What empiricism, BOTW? If Obama was an empiricist he would at least be saying, 'Plan A didn't work, so let's try something else.' He's not even saying that. It's going to be more of Plan A - stimulus, infrastructure, jobs programs, blah, blah. More cowbell.

Mind you, it wouldn't make him an empiricist even if he did say, 'let's try something else.' FDR used to say that, but the 'something else' always came out of the left-wing, big government basket. If Hayek is the right answer, then more Keynes won't work! None of it worked until FDR finally 'went big enough,' as Krugman would say, and committed the country to Total War.
