as i said, if ebony gets expensive, there will be more of it because it will eventually make good economic sense, at a high enough price.

it took many years to learn how to culture pearls. many people believed that it could never be done. but pearls were too valuable to 'not grow' them. now there are relatively cheap cultured pearls that some people argue are actually higher quality than natural pearls. but even if they're not there yet, the quality continues to improve and the prices continue to fall. that is the free market in action.

so yes, i believe it is a 'slam dunk'..
