To all:

Today's drop might have something to do with Deutsche M.G. & Lehman's lowering their ratings on Western Digital. Below is an excerpt from Briefing.com :

Computer Systems & Peripherals

Brief: Hewlett (-5/8) held up relatively well given that company's earnings fell 2 cents shy of street expectations... Market appears willing to look past temporary increase in operating expenses and focus on the generally positive sales outlook... Bear Stearns reiterated its buy rating on Compaq... Disk drive stocks back on defensive after Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and Lehman Brothers lowered their ratings on Western Digital to hold and neutral, respectively... Lehman also cut FY98 estimates to $1.60 from $2.00 citing guidance by company on its second half FY98 performance at Comdex trade show in Las Vegas.

Thanks for earnings date Ram V and Steve.

Yes, todays up $1 on low volume doesnt seem like something to get
excited about. Like my past investments, Ill double my position after
it drops 50% and wait 6mos to break even. (beats paying the mutual
funds to have all the fun!)
