<End the USD reserve currency status by destroying the military>

Do you think it is our 750 overseas military bases, that has made the U.S. Dollar the global reserve currency?

Do you think maintaining those bases, and continuing our overseas wars, will preserve the status of the U.S. dollar?

The destruction of faith in the U.S. dollar, and its replacement (by gold, or the Chinese currency, or something else) is being caused by:

1. government debt and deficits
2. no realistic plan to end those deficits
3. chronic massive trade deficits
4. U.S. gradual loss of competitiveness, and loss of global market share, in industry after industry since WW2.
5. debasement of the currency, by a massive increase in the money supply
6. Creative Accounting, by the Fed and Treasury Dept.
7. our national habit of using short-term ineffective "solutions" for systemic LT problems

The U.S. (one nation) spends half the entire world's (200+ nations) total military budget. That is unsustainable, one of a list of unsustainable trends. It will end, and we will close down most of those bases, and radically cut our military budget, no matter what anyone wants. What the people or the politicians want or say, makes no difference. It's going to happen, due to hard unchangeable economic reality.
