Do you think high levels of education equates more to desire to travel than anything else?

I imagine it does. If only for the practical reason of the ability to do so...college and post college folk tend to be more curious...

Frankly, to generalize with a very broad brush? I think it's Ds/moderates that travel(rich or poor) much more than Rs/conservatives. The latter, tend to stay where they are and when they do leave their comfort zones, are more likely to go to the resorts that serve them food they are accompanied to, with waiters/maids are natives who are their primary interaction with the people of the visiting country or Disney, as you mentioned.....of course there are exceptions. But, think about the travelers and their viewpoints/leanings that you've met. I'm curious what you come up with....

I keep reading and have also observed that minorities, recent immigrants, blue collar and folks in small towns rarely seem to travel..

I think this points to the ability to do so more than anything else...but, I'm not surprised if there's a feedback loop there too...
