Putting things another way..... ............................ ....................

The data/chart always has a story to tell, our job as traders is to figure out what it is telling us.

Is the data suggesting a major divergence?
If the data shows a breaks down of a correlation, what are the causes and what do those causes tell us?
Also we will look at history for similar breakdowns" What does that situation can tell us?
If we abandon the correlation as a tool what do we replace it with?

Answer those questions and you'll have something to work with.

That said, last time we saw a strong inversion of correlations was about 11-2-10...

BTW - I don't see an 80K drop in OI, what am I missing?

Despite the COT, I am modestly long in PM's and occasionally take a flier with UGL.
