And that is why things like the Lacey act are necessary. time will tell. i'm telling you the lacey act will have the opposite effect that you wish. free markets, free trade and freedom are almost like magic. if you protect them, they will give you in abundance the things you value most highly, and let the undesired fade away. people like to think there's a way to trick or force reality into their vision of it. but it rightly never works out. you can't force people to be good to ebony. all you can do is let them prize it. then ebony can take care of itself.
