Here is my valuation:

1998 : 0.45 eps (from zacks).

1999 : 0.63 eps (40% yearly growth, from zacks).

Take p/e of 35 (lower than the growth) you get a price of 22.

But I think it is very much under estimation if you think about the

potential of all the new and future partnerships.

Shlomi.

You would have to 1st argue withthe IPO price as this is only $4 higher and the co. is now in the black and is the leading edge supplier of ISDN to ASDL in Europe. They will probably grow at a 50% earnings growth rate since there base is so small and the manufacturing leverage is so high. Like all tech stocks it takes a stomach to play them. But between Fujitsu Harris and Rockwell they have some pretty savvy partners.

Brent, orckit's modem is able to send a digital signal (xDSI) across copper wire without interupting the regular analog, or telephone line service. since 80% of all phone lines are still analog based, orckit's modem becomes a significant premium as this has not yet been accomplished. to send an uninteruptable signal to date you've needed to either (a) cable, (b) optical, or other costly means. orckit's modem changes that. rockewell and fujitsu's alighnment with orckit is proof that their modem is the key. the company is considered to be able to grow by over 100% per year for the next several years. the earnings projections are conservative as they include only the fujitsu agreement. the new rockwell agreement hasn't been caluculated into the earnings picture. rockwell has contacts with nearly every major phone carrier, including many bells. so, to include orckit's modem with rockwell manufacturing capacity is a real winner. the stock should be trading much higher, but i believe the street is not possibly fully aware of its accomplishments yet.
