[USB]

<<<''The two most significant trends to watch in xDSL equipment development today are the availability of PPP over ATM and
USB solutions. These developments are key to xDSL's deployability,'' said Stefan Knight, ATML's director of product
marketing. >>>

Jack --

I wish you could have seen the USB industry booth at Comdex. It was four times bigger than anything around it and completely carpetted in white-white carpet, with white displays everywhere. Lots of blue signs and lights and banners. I wish I'd spent time studying the displays, but I was headed out by then and couldn't take the time. When you see USBs going mainstream, you have to know there's a reason.
Intel announced its USB interface last week and I suspect it's just the beginning. You know all the electrical outlets we have in our homes and in every building on the planet? (Except outhouses) Well, they wouldn't be there without appliances that needed power.

Good article.

Okay, I confess, I didn't even think to pick up brochures at the USB booth because I was preoccupied checking out the carpet for spots. ://

Cheers!
