the snb's action prevented another slide in europe today, the thinking being i suppose that money is not fleeing banks into safe refuge any longer.

it should be very good for gold, however.

and there is always the usd. you may have noticed this: the enormous increase in m2 in august seems to be related to a stealth mini-bank run in europe. facts and figures on demand, but apparently 90% reliable.

a palliative designed to help the swiss, the most self-interested on the globe. the slide shall commence again when the euros start looking at things again in a realistic manner.

it's all about europe now, this year's version of subprime.
