I slept on the idea last eve and spoke w/ someone at VSGN. I now am of the opinion that this is probably a good idea. It would have been a better idea with someone other than BORL, but what can you do. VSGN has been running a 10-20 MIll loss so how much are they REALLY worth. A key item is that they have $0.00 long term debt ! I think it is a really sweet deal for BORL. With Sippl as the head of technology at BORL I think they can become a real powerhouse tool provider. I think they will blow thw doors off SYBS/Powersoft. It may take a few quarters to get the synergy together but eventually BORL/VSGN will have a greater chance to be a major player than either BORL and VSGN independantly. Oh well, from one turnaround story to another....
