David, does DVD-RAM have an impact on removable hard drives? I ask because I am looking for reasons to short IOM. Always did hate those cult stocks. Tim

<<PC-DVD RAM from Creative>>

I got back from COMDEX yesterday afternoon. It's true that CREAF has this product at the show; however, they are currently downplaying it (for how long, I do not know). In other words, for strategy reasons I believe, they are not hyping it.

I did pick up the brochure and I spoke with one of their engineers who was very enthusiatic. He told me that he sees a winter/spring release.
Obviously cost will be a factor - Toshiba announced their package at $799 on Monday. You can go to the bank that Creative will destroy that number.
