I think it's just too late. China and India will exceed our carbon emissions before too long, if they haven't already. 2 billion people want cars and to live like the Americans they see on our exported, dubbed TV reruns. They have every chance of getting some semblance of what they want. Of course, 2 billion people can't consume 25% of the world's resources as our 300 million have, on a world of 3 billion and counting. To do that, they'd need to increase the world's resources 1000%! Our time was special, and won't be repeated until new ways to produce energy and resources are found. Let's face it, we look like total dicks to them, living like Americans while they were in mud huts, but now telling them THEY can't! As for us, it's time to rethink our way of life. Lead by GOOD example.
