The problem is that O! will be tarred with Bernanke's brush if QE3 does not work, as it is certain not to. The results of the QE3 failure would be apparent for all to see by November 2012. And if O! does not get re-elected Bernanke is almost certain not to be re-appointed. So B. has a political incentive to do the right thing and refuse QE3.

We'll see. It is possible all the sturm und drang over QE3 will be irrelevant because by 11/20112, la merde will the truly aerial and on the way to the fan.

Edit: sorry for the French and German, but Europe is on my mind.
