imo once folks go physical, as in bullion in vault, the excess savings tends to stay solid for a long time, as the owner gets back into the paper shuffle game knowing full well they have emergency reset back-stop what happened in 2008 q4 - 2009 q1 shook up a lot of preciously very confident people once, as in religion, folks get the religion as latecomers, they tend to be more so than folks raised on religion so, imo, the solid folks are of strong faith, can afford the strong faith
