Because there is a 50-50 chance that one of these guys will actually be elected President. In the case of Perry, that would be an absolute disaster.

Hey, you told us that Obama was going to be re-elected, no ifs, ands or buts. What happened? Lying to us again?

By the way, describe this "absolute disaster" and what it would look like. Please give us your most clairvoyant vision of this calamity. We need to know who to vote for.
