Paul and Intel Investors - Try doing this with oyuur MediaGX!
Yesterday I came across one of the new "TV-Tuner" boards, this one from Hauppage, that also offered Intercast reception - the ability to receive digital data from a TV signal that is broadcast during the VBI (Vertical Blanking Interval), much as closed captioning is now broadcast.
Then today I came across a good reason to spend the $99 for this board - CNBC is now beginning to broadcast data and news using this SAME Intercast technique - check out the following article.
In addition to the Intercast data broadcast, the card performs its usual function of displaying any TV or cable channel (up to 125 ) in a separate resizable window under Windows 95.
Oh by the way for you MediaGX owners - this TV-Tuner card interfaces with PCI graphics boards - not the .graphics built into your Cyrix chip. Maybe you can "upgrade these little machines".
